Administrative Law Section

On April 4, 2019, we began our 2019 Lecture Series!  Section Co-Chair and Administrative Law Judge Nicolas Orechwa presented our guest lecturer, Administrative Law Judge Steven Adler.  Both Judge Nicolas and Judge Adler spoke about Maryland state employee discipline and grievance procedures and filing appeals of those matters to the Maryland Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH)  The members engaged in discussion about presenting cases before OAH and seeking understanding of the various regulations and statutes relevant to the subject area.
The section’s Lecture Series is designed to provide practitioners with some practical information on various subject areas.  Please look for the next lecture!

Finally, during the May 31, 2019 Bar Association Annual Meeting, our section will present as guest lecturers, Maryland Court of Appeals Retired Judge Glenn T. Harrell, Jr. and Chief Administrative Law Judge Thomas E. Dewberry of the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH).  Judge Harrell and Judge Dewberry will speak on standing issues before OAH and recent developments and decisions in Maryland Administrative Law.  Our session will begin at 11:15 a.m. in Salon C
