New Practitioner Section
This year’s Courthouse Tour and Section Fair/Open House will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019. The Section Fair/Open House portion of the event will be held in the Cafeteria of the EOB building. If you attended the event in the past, you know what it’s all about. For those of you who haven't, this is an opportunity for you to network with other BAMC seasoned lawyers, Judges, and new practitioners. We hope to have all of the BAMC sections present at the event so that you can see/talk to someone from each section and hear what that section is all about. We also hope to have representatives there from the Specialty Bars, as we did last year. This is a terrific event if you’re looking for networking. This is a terrific event if you are looking to get involved and don’t quite know how to get involved. And this is a terrific event if you want to get to know BAMC better so you can decide how and what to get involved in. If you would like to volunteer to help with some pre-event tasks, and at the event to help set up and clean up, or if you’d like to RSVP for the event now, please contact either of us.
Keep an eye out for emails and other announcements from the New Practitioners Section.
If you have questions, please contact either Callie Carnemark at firstname.lastname@example.org / (301) 762-5212 or Josh Schmand at email@example.com / (301) 347-1273.
Please join The Honorable Robert A. Greenberg for our April 2019 Chat. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Greenberg spent two years as judicial law clerk to Judge Plummer M. Shearin in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Montgomery County, and worked in private practice for 22 years, specializing in criminal defense. Judge Greenberg was sworn in as an Associate Judge in the Circuit Court on January 11, 2006, and on August 1, 2017, he became the Circuit and County Administrative Judge. This Chat will serve as a great opportunity to learn from our esteemed Administrative Judge. Please join us on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. for a brown-bag lunch in Courtroom 3E (North Tower, 3rd Floor).
Please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 301-961-5140 with any suggestions, questions, or comments regarding the Chamber Chats series. Your feedback is incredibly helpful to make sure the Chats are most beneficial to you and your practice. On behalf of the New Practitioners Section, special thanks to Judge Boynton for hosting the February Chat, as well as Lisa Hyatt, Judge Boynton’s Administrative Assistant, for supporting the coordination of the event.
We are pleased to announce that many new practitioners have applied for mentorships. Now we just need the more-seasoned members (7+ years of practice) to follow suit. If you are interested in being a mentor or a mentee, or if you know someone who is, please reach out to Hayes Edwards at email@example.com.
Applications to become a mentor or a mentee are available at http://www.barmont.org/?164. They can be submitted to Hayes Edwards.
