Speakers:  Glenn M. Grossman, Bar Counsel from the Maryland Attorney Grievance Commission; Lydia E. Lawless, Assistant Bar Counsel; Samuel M. Shapiro and Daniel L. Shea, Co-Chairs of the Legal Ethics Committee for the Montgomery County Bar Association

This program is a great opportunity for all practitioners to brush up on their legal ethics and avoid the pitfalls that can get lawyers in trouble.  The speakers bring the perspective of the Grievance Commission on scenarios they see which cause ethical problems for attorneys, as well as from distinguished experienced lawyers in Montgomery County who have special expertise in dealing with ethical issues. The speakers will discuss a number of case studies and examples of scenarios that have led to ethical problems for Maryland lawyers, and discuss how such problems could have been avoided. This is a great problem for all lawyers, including those who need CLE programs dealing specifically with ethical issues.
