This program will be a panel discussion regarding the various “boilerplate” contract provisions that business attorneys frequently include in their contracts including choice of law, forum selection, arbitration, jury waivers, fee-shifting, and others, and how such provisions can help or hurt our clients when those contracts are litigated. Transactional and litigation practitioners will join panelists from the bench to discuss recent developments in the intersection of standard contract language and recent case law as well as the strategy and planning implications for those preparing contracts and preparing lawsuits. CLE credit will be available and a light dinner will be provided.

Karen Shapiro, Business Law Section Chair
