Speaker:  Theopia Jackson, PhD

Learn how implicit bias shows up in our work and how it impacts the way we communicate with clients and peers. In this program, you will learn to identify implicit bias, analyze how it informs our attitudes and behaviors, and discover practical tools that can bring about tangible, positive change. Theopia Jackson, PhD, is an accomplished scholar-practitioner and educator who provides cultural competency workshops, seminars, and consultation. Dr. Jackson recently presented a day long workshop for the DC Collaborative Practice Group titled Blending Worlds: Complexities of Multiculturalism and the Collaborative Divorce Model. Dr. Jackson received her master's degree in clinical psychology from Howard University, in Washington DC and doctorate from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California.
