Speaker:            Raymond Van Dyke, Esq. of Van Dyke Intellectual Property Law

This primer will provide an overview of copyright rights and assisting clients in responding to their questions about their rights, e.g., to photos, books and images.  The program will explore the various copyright rights including the exclusive rights to copy, distribute, make derivative works and more, as well as the vocabulary to use in discussing these matters with your client. Key topics to be discussed:

*             What are the various copyright rights

*             How to file for a federal copyright

*             Famous and current cases

*             New technologies and copyright

*             How to sue, and what to do when sued for infringement

*             What are the damages, my liability for infringement
