Topics will include how to handle the initial client consult, how to assess special needs, educational experts and psycho-educational testing, special needs trusts and social security income, community resources, special considerations for parenting plans and legal custody options, how child support is determined for special needs children, how to structure support payments to protect state benefits and the potential malpratice traps. The materials will include resources, practice pointers, legal synopsis and forms. The panel will allow time for Q & A discussion.
