Membership Benefits Committee

The BAMC Membership Benefits Committee has scheduled its next meeting for Tuesday, November 14th, at 8 am, at the Bar Headquarters.

The 2017-2018 Goals of the Committee are to improve marketing to BAMC lawyers to make them aware of existing benefits such as vendor discounts including: restaurant discounts; preferred business services; preferred court reporting services; preferred insurance carriers; preferred banks; and preferred hotels.  We also hope to develop new business alliances to provide additional benefits to members and to streamline the process to utilize benefits.  We are also open to any new suggestions from bar members to improve member benefits?  If you have any concerns or issues to bring to the Committee’s attention, please feel free to contact any Committee member or the Co-Chairs: Erin Kopelman at (301) 347-1261 or; or David C. Merkin at (301) 762-9200 or

Did you know that your membership in the Montgomery County Bar Association can get you discounts at 55 businesses, ranging from restaurants to hotels to court reporters and banks?  All you need to do is show your Montgomery County bar card to the participating business to obtain the discount.    Keep an eye out for signs that participating businesses will be receiving to post at their establishment showing their participation, but the best way to be aware is to check the bar association website.
We are also actively seeking new business participants and new members for our committee!  Do you have a contact at, or represent a business that would be interested in participating?  There is no cost to the business, other than the discount, and the business benefits from free publicity on the bar association’s website, newsletter, and other bar publications.  Please help us make productive contact with potential new participants by acting as the bridge between our committee and area businesses.
Please help us spread the word about this amazing program and help us grow the program by partnering with new businesses.  Please contact Rand Gelber (301-251-0202) or  Mallon Snyder, (301-762-7500) if are willing to assist in this effort.  Please join us in making this program the best that it can be for our members!
