The Armand Center’s mission is to provide an affordable, safe, and family friendly environment for children to spend quality time with their parent. It helps safeguard children from witnessing hostility between parents and to provide safeguards for the emotional and physical well-being of parents and their children. It also helps prevent further violence to survivors of domestic violence. The objective is to increase a healthy relationship with their child, to improve a parent’s ability to parent, and to reduce children’s exposure to parental conflict before, during, and after separation and divorce. This service helps to safeguard children from the trauma of witnessing domestic violence or experiencing abduction, injury, or death during parent and child visitation and/ or exchanges, and to safeguard parents or caretakers who are survivors of domestic violence from experiencing further violence, abuse, and threats during visitation and/or exchanges.
