Mentee Application Mentor/Mentee Guidelines
New Practitioner Section
To kick off the holiday season, we will be participating in our annual Holiday Toy Drive to benefit the clients of the Family Justice Center Foundation. You can drop off your toy donation at the Bar Association of Montgomery County Bar Building, located at 27 West Jefferson St., Rockville, MD 20850. We will be collecting donations until December 8, 2016. Thank you all in advance for participating in this great cause.
Please join us on Thursday January 19, 2017 at 12:30 PM with the Honorable Anne K. Albright. The Chamber Chat will be held in the Courtroom 8B jury room, in the North Tower of the Circuit Court. This is an excellent opportunity for practitioners, both new and experienced, to gain insight and knowledge in how to refine your trial advocacy skills, become a better prepared lawyer and to get to know Judge Albright. The Chamber Chat is open to all members of the Bar, not only members of the New Practitioner’s Section. We encourage all to join.
Judge Albright has been a Judge on the Circuit Court bench since January 19, 2012. Prior to that, she was in private practice as a litigator, and was an Assistant Public Defender in Montgomery County from 1989 through 1991. Bring your lunch and take advantage of this opportunity to get to know a member of our Circuit Court bench in an informal setting, ask Judge Albright questions about practicing law in the Circuit Court and learn essential litigation skills.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (301) 738-5700 or firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope to see you at the Chamber Chat!

The mentor/mentee program is still accepting new mentor/mentees! This program is designed to aid new attorneys in developing and shaping their future careers through the support, guidance, and recommendations of a senior practitioner. If you have been practicing law for more than seven years, the Mentor/Mentee Committee is looking for your help to mentor and develop the next generation of attorneys in the Montgomery County Bar Association. If you have been practicing law for less than seven years and would like guidance from a mentor, we encourage you to apply to get a mentor. Applications to become a mentor or a mentee are available at http://www.barmont.org/?164. They can be submitted to Emily Gelmann at firstname.lastname@example.org.
