Mentee Application                        Mentor/Mentee Guidelines

New Practitioner Section

We’re Josh Bienstock and Josh Schmand, your 2017/2018 Co-Chairs for the New Practitioners Section – and we’re in the process of putting together some great programs and events for this year.  Generally speaking and for scheduling purposes, we hope to have Section Meetings on the second Wednesday of the month, beginning in September.

Continuing with the momentum we built last year, we’re focusing on programs and section meetings that will bring real value to your practices.  Our section meetings will not be dedicated to any one area of the law, but rather will be applicable to all of your practices.  This year, we hope to collaborate with as many other sections as possible, so as to allow you all many options for events to participate in.

This year’s Chamber’s Chat chair, Callie Carnemark, is busy planning Chamber’s Chats.  Our Mentor-Mentee chair, Daniel Tavares, is ensuring that the Mentor-Mentee program continues to be successful.

Please keep an eye out for e-mails and other announcements from the New Practitioners Section.  We’ll keep you in the loop regarding any changes or additions to the existing schedule.

We look forward to a great end to the year and, as always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Josh Bienstock at Josh@bienstocklegal.com / (301) 251-1600 or Josh Schmand at jcschmand@lerchearly.com.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at Callie Carnemark or ccarnemark@mmcanby.com.

MENTOR/MENTEE COMMITTEE
The mentor/mentee program is still accepting new mentor/mentees! This program is designed to aid new attorneys in developing and shaping their future careers through the support, guidance, and recommendations of a senior practitioner. If you have been practicing law for more than seven years, the Mentor/Mentee Committee is looking for your help to mentor and develop the next generation of attorneys in the Montgomery County Bar Association. If you have been practicing law for less than seven years and would like guidance from a mentor, we encourage you to apply to get a mentor. Applications to become a mentor or a mentee are available at http://www.barmont.org/?164.  They can be submitted to  Daniel Tavares.
