Intellectual Property & Technology Law Section
The Intellectual Property & Technology Section is planning an IP Basics series. In addition to the basics, the series will also address various current and topical issues in IP, making the series of interest both to novices desirous of learning more about IP and IP professionals. The Presenter, IP Section Co-Chair Raymond Van Dyke, has taught a class on IP for over 15 years on various aspects of IP and technology, and is pleased to support the Organization.
On October 6, 2015, the meeting will be directed to an overview of the various types of IP, i.e., patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret. November 11 and December 1 will be directed to patents, e.g., the basics and current controversies and issues, including the various legislation on patent reform and Section 101 issues after the Supreme Court Alice decision. The remaining intellectual property rights will be handled in the beginning of 2016.
Please mark your calendars. At each meeting, we will distribute material to the attendees. Sandwiches and such will be available. Send an RSVP to
Ray Van Dyke if you and others plan to attend.
