Mentee Application                        Mentor/Mentee Guidelines

New Practitioner Section

We have been hard at work planning your March events.

On March 10, 2018 at 1:00PM, the New Practitioner’s Section is teaming up with the Social Committee and the Community Outreach Committee to host a Zengo Charity bike ride at the Zengo Cycle in Bethesda.  Zengo is similar to Soul Cycle. Proceeds will go to the Montgomery County Bar Foundation. To register for the class, go to, click on the “Reserve” tab and choose the Bethesda location.
The event is titled “Bar Association of Montgomery County Charity Ride.”  Space is limited, so we are asking participants to sign up in advance.

On March 21, 2018, we will be holding the Courthouse Tour of the Circuit Court followed by our second annual Section Fair/Open House.  The Courthouse Tour will begin at 5:00pm and the Section Fair/Open House will occur in the Cafeteria of the EOB building from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.  This is an event you will not want to miss.  You can RSVP to Josh Bienstock or Josh Schmand at the e-mails below.

Keep an eye out for emails and other announcements from the New Practitioner Section.

If you have questions, please contact either Josh Bienstock at / (301) 251-1600 or Josh Schmand at / (301) 347-1273.

Please join us on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 12:30 pm in Courtroom 8A (North Tower, 8th Floor) for a brown-bag lunch with Judge Harry C. Storm.

The Chamber Chat is open to all members of the Bar.

The mentor/mentee program is still accepting new mentor/mentees! This program is designed to aid new attorneys in developing and shaping their future careers through the support, guidance, and recommendations of a senior practitioner. If you have been practicing law for more than seven years, the Mentor/Mentee Committee is looking for your help to mentor and develop the next generation of attorneys in the Montgomery County Bar Association. If you have been practicing law for less than seven years and would like guidance from a mentor, we encourage you to apply to get a mentor. Applications to become a mentor or a mentee are available at  They can be submitted to  Daniel Tavares.
